Pennridge School District just purchased the automation system of "Destiny". This system bodes well because it can automate itself with the public library. In the near future, ILL (interlibrary loan)will be availabe for all students and teachers. Awesome!
Currently I am an English Teacher at Pennridge South Middle School. I have been teaching here for three years. Previously, I worked as a high school teacher in New Jersey.
I am an avid fan of libraries and believe the library to be the most important aspect of the school. Seeing school as a microcosm of the real world, I believe public/academic/special libraries to be of the utmost importance in all communities. Therefore they should all collaborate.
Effective collaboration between public and school libraries means effective children, which, in turn, means effective communities.
This blog will show that successful collaboration can be achieved and that the collaboration is vital for our youth.
